Sound Design
Umbrella term for recording, acquiring, manipulating, or generating audio elements
Foley
Recording of original sound effects to create realistic movement and object noise in a scene
Dialogue Editing
Removing room noise and distracting artifacts from production dialogue
SFX Editing
Editing and implementing hard sound effects, such as a car door or a gunshot
Backgrounds Editing
Sourcing, recording, and implementing environmental ambiance
Music Editing
Editing pre-recorded music to complement visual media
Production Sound
Recording and live-mixing dialogue and sounds on set during production
Mixing & Mastering
Balancing individual tracks to work harmoniously together, and enhancing sonic elements and optimization for delivery specifications

Hey there!
I’m Devon, a sound designer specializing in motion pictures and gaming.
Over the past seven years, I’ve had the chance to handle every aspect of audio post-production, from sound creation to foley to nuts-and-bolts dialogue editing for films, commercials, and audio books. My style of work is highly creative, collaborative, detail-oriented. I hold a B.A. in Sound Design and Music Production for Visual Media from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
I am currently the Lead Sound Designer for Who Are You Media, LLC, as well as a sound and lighting technician at 1015 Folsom in San Francisco.
